Abstract
Objective :To probe into clinical application value of pain education on pain control and quality of sleep for patients with advanced cancer .Methods :From March 2012 to March 2014 ,patients with advanced cancer were treated in our hospital .The patients were divided into study group and the control group randomly by number table . There were 45 cases in each group .The patients with advanced cancer in two groups were given standard cancer pain treatment and routine nursing intervention .The patients in control group were received conventional health education . The patients in study group were received system pain education program .The pain control conditions and changes in sleep quality situation of the patients in two groups were compared and analyzed .Results :Compared with control group ,the patients in study group after education had decreased NRS score (2 .41 ± 1 .25)and the number of break‐through pain reduced significantly (2 .15 ± 1 .10)times / d ,the differences were significant statistically (t = 6 .996 , 4 .490 ;P < 0 .05) .The sleep quality indicators ,such as sleep quality ,sleep latency ,sleep duration ,sleep efficiency , sleep disorders ,hypnotic drugs and daytime function were improved significantly and the total score of the Pitts ‐burgh Sleep Quality Index scale was (8 .86 ± 2 .05)points ,all the differences were significant statistically (t = 3 .014 , 3 .209 ,3 .144 ,3 .370 ,4 .943 ,4 .114 ,3 .034 ,3 .744 ;P < 0 .05) .The proportion of satisfaction to nursing service increased to 97 .92% (47/48) ,and the ratio of not satisfied decreased to 2 .08% (1/48) ,the differences were significant statisti‐cally(χ2 = 10 .766 ,P < 0 .05) .Conclusion :Pain education can make the pain symptoms of advanced cancer patients be controlled effectively ,and further improve the quality of sleep .It can be applied in clinical practice and as an adjunct treatment for patients with advanced cancer .关键词
