Abstract

PAC,PFS,FC,PAFC used as the coagulant,enhanced coagulation was carried out with activated carbon and potassium permanganate to remove water turbidity,COD Mn ,UV 254 and olfactory threshold in the paper. The best reinforcement scheme of coagulation was optimized,and the different molecular weight organic matter removal efficiency was researched. Results show that the activated carbon can effectively improve the effect of coagulation process of raw water treatment,better than the effect of potassium permanganate pretreatment process. The best coagulation scheme is:activated carbon (10 mg/ L)+ PAC (40 mg/ L),under this condition,the removal rate of turbidity,COD Mn ,UV 254 and olfactory threshold are 89%,70%,73% and 70% respectively. Activated carbon has a better adsorption to the organic matter of molecular weight between 10 K and 100 K. Potassium permanganate can effectively remove organic matter with molecular weight greater than 10 K.
