Poking reduction combined with Ilizarov technique in the treatment of tibial plateau Schatzk-er type Ⅳ ~ Ⅵ fractures

Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effect of poking reduction combined with Ilizarov technique in the treat-ment of tibial plateau Schatzker type Ⅳ~Ⅵ fractures. Methods 31 patients with the tibial plateau Schatzker typeⅣ~Ⅵ fractures were treated by using poking reduction combined with Ilizarov technique. Functional recovery of the knee joint was assessed according to Hohl rating scale score. Results All the patients were followed up for 12~24 months. The fractures got solid bony union eventually. The function of the joint was excellent in 22 cases, good in 6, fair in 3,and the excellent-good rate was 90. 3%. Conclusions The method of poking reduction combined with Il-izarov technique has good satisfactory therapeutic effects of treating high energy tibial plateau fractures, and has ad-vantages in minimal invasive aspect and the starting time of weight bearing of postoperation, especially suitable for the cases of poor soft tissue conditions. It is an effective method for the treatment of tibial plateau fractures.关键词
