Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the influence of tooth-pastes and mouthwash containing arginine on the bonding strength and interfaces between glass ceramic and dentin. Method:Ten extracted teeth were exposed by removing the oc-clusal enamel and divided into 3 parts. The 3 parts were treated with mouthwash containing 0.8%arginine, tooth-past con-taining 8%arginine,or nothing. A block of glass ceramic was bonded to the dentin of the teeth with RelyXTM Unicem 2. The teeth were cut into specimens with the bonded surface of 1.0 mm × 1.0 mm vertically. The bonding strength of the specimens were measured by a microtensile tester. And the fracture mode was observed by using a microscope. A scanning electron microscope was used to observe the interface. Result:The tensile strength of the tooth-past and mouthwash group was lower than the control group. Resin tags were observed in the control group, but not in the other two groups. Conclusion:The tooth-pastes containing 8%arginine and the mouthwash containing 0.8%arginine can reduce the bonding strength between dentin and glass ceramic by the influence the resin tags.关键词
