Lu Xun’s Selective Borrowing from Byron’s Literary Thoughts
摘要
Abstract
Lu Xun was among the earliest Chinese modern writers who introduced Byron into China,and Byron had a profound influence on Lu Xun’s literary creation. However, Lu Xun inherited Byron’s literary heritage selectively. While admiring the Byronic rebellious behavior, demoniac spirit and unyielding character and borrowed the heroic rebelliousness and loneliness of Bryon, he abandoned the aristocratic individualism and pessimism as revealed in Byron’s works. The selective borrowing distinguishes Lu Xun and makes him greater than Byron in literary creation and thoughts.关键词
