摘要
Abstract
Objective To observe the protective effect of curcumin on ulcerative colitis( UC) induced by dextran sulfate sodium( DSS) in mice. Methods The DSS was used to prepare UC mice model. The 50 BALB / c mice were randomly divided in-to five groups:normal group A,model group B,dexamethasone group C(1. 5mg/ kg. d),low dose of curcumin group D(15mg/kg. d),and high dose of curcumin group E(60mg/kg. d),each group 10 only. 7 days later,the histological damage was scored,and the content of IL-1、TNF-α and the expression of TNF-α mRNA in colonic tissue were detected. Results The histological damage score of group D,the content of IL-1,TNF-αand the expression of TNF-αmRNA in colon tissue were all higher than those in group C(P<0. 01)and group E(P<0. 05). And there was no significant difference between group C and group E(P>0. 05). Conclu-sion High dose of curcumin could reduce the histological score,the content of IL-1,TNF-α,and the expression of TNF-αmRNA in colonic mucosa,which had a protective effect on ulcerative colitis.关键词
