摘要

Abstract

Inorder to overturn low strength and high deformation characteristics of Shanghai clay, the pa-per mixed cellulose fiber and lime powder into Shanghai clay with different weight reinforcement ratios, and maintained the clay under different curing age. Through unconfined compressive strength test,it in-vestigated the impacts of cellulose fiber and lime powder on compressive strength of Shanghai clay. The result indicated that lime powder can effectively improve the compressive strength of Shanghai clay as well as soil residual strength;cellulose fiber has no obvious impact on soil compressive strength, but can obvi-ously improve the ductility of soil;when both cellulose fiber and lime powder are mixed into the clay,the compressive strength and ductility of the soil have been enhanced and its brittleness has been reduced;the most suitable reinforcement ratio for compressive strength of soil is 0 . 8 percent of cellulose fiber and 10 percent of lime powder.
