Abstract
Objective To explore the value of virtual touch tissue quantiifcation (VTQ) technology in the diagnosis of pleomorphic adenoma of parotid glands.Methods The sonographic and VTQ ifndings of 27 pleomorphic adenoma of parotid glands proved by pathology were analyzed retrospectively while VTQ ifndings were compared with the corresponding data of the control group.Results There were signiifcant differences of shear wave velocity between pleomorphic adenoma group and control group (P<0.01). Compared with the diagnostic method using only ultrasonography, the diagnosis sensitivity can be improved when high frequency ultrasound and VTQ were combined.Conclusion VTQ technology provides a new approach for the differential diagnosis of pleomorphic adenoma of parotid gland.关键词
