Abstract
A novel flame retardant composed of cyclophosphazene and organophosphate was applied in coating on the polyester fabric, and its flame retardancy for polyester fabric was investigated. The flame retar⁃dancy was studied by limiting oxygen index (LOI) and vertical burning test. The flame retardance mechanism was investigated through the surface morphology of pyrolyzed and burned char residue. The results demon⁃strated that when the dosage of flame retardant was 5%, the LOI value of the coated fabric was up to 28.0%, and could pass level B1, moreover the better performance on anti- dropping was achieved. SEM results showed that many micro pore structure formed in inner surface and the coat- like char formed in the outer char surface of burned polyester fabric residue, which formed good thermal barrier during burning.关键词
