Abstract

Nano ZnO catalysts were prepared by a simple solvent thermal route, and the structures were characterized by XRD, SEM and FTIR. The treatment effect of ozone oxidation degradation catalyzed by nano ZnO for printing and dyeing wastewater were studied. The results showed that the optimal treatment condi⁃tions were as fol ows: catalyst dosage was 0.5 g/L, pH was 10.0, reaction time was 70 min, the COD removal rate was 86.08%. When the wastewater was exposed under ultraviolet light for 1 h, the COD removal rate in⁃creased from 36.03% to 98.06% of the separate ozone oxidation, which reached the reuse and environmental emission requirements of the printing and dyeing wastewater.
