Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical practical value of microwave coagulation in the treatment of epistaxis in old patients. Methods The treatment outcome and clinical data of 56 cases of epistaxis in old patients who used microwave coagulation by nasal endoscope were studied retrospectively. Results Forty-two cases of epistaxis patients were no more bleeding after using microwave coagulation to stop bleeding among the 56 cases. The cure rate was 92.9%. It is ineffective in 4 patients. Conclusion The method of using microwave coagulation by nasal endoscope to stop bleeding is obviously effective. The advantages of the method include recovering quickly, less complication and pain.关键词
