Research and Development of Stem Cell Therapy for Deafness
摘要
Abstract
In recent years, stem cell therapy for hearing loss has become a hot topic in the field of otology. This paper contains a review of the literatures on stem cell therapies for hearing loss, discusses on its feasibility from the perspectives of the basis for replacing or repairing inner ear structures, stem cells transplantation approaches and its safety. and con-cludes that transplanting stem cells into the inner ear is feasible, although more precise control over cell differentiation is re-quired before actual transplantation, and can be used together with other traditional therapies, such as cochlear implants.关键词
