Abstract
Objective The coexistence of systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)and psoriasis(Ps)is rare.We aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics of coexistence of SLE and Ps and explore the potential coexistence mechanisms.Methods Medical data of patients with coexistent SLE and Ps admitted to Peking Union Medical College Hospital from 1990 to 2015 were reviewed retrospectively.Results A total of 15 patients (13 female and 2 male)with a mean age of(36.7 ±12.97)years developed coexistent SLE and Ps.Among them,12 cases (12/15,80%)developed Ps prior to the diagnosis of SLE,and 3 cases after the diagnosis of SLE.The median interval between the diagnosis of Ps and SLE was 8 years.The most common symptoms of SLE were cutaneous and mucosal manifestations (13/15,86.67%)and muscle and joint involvement (12/15,80.00%).Psoriasis vulgaris (10/15,66.67%)is the most common type of psoriasis.Conclusions Ps can coexistent with SLE.Ps usually presents prior to SLE, and psoriasis vulgaris is the most common type.The association between SLE and Ps is still not clear,which need further studies.关键词
