摘要

Abstract

The antenna, which has the virtues of broad band, high gain and small size, can be used for ultrahigh frequency (UHF) partial discharge (PD) online detection in gas insulated switchgear (GIS), A kind of fourfold-band micro-strip monopole antenna is designed. Herein, multiple radiating elements broaden the UHF antenna detection frequency band and realize multiple frequency characteristic of antenna. HFSS simulation software is used to optimize the design of antenna structure size, and then the antenna is built using the optimal physical parameters. Theoretical calculation and actual test data show that the micro-strip monopole UHF antenna possesses a good radiating performance and a fourfold-band property when working in the UHF band. The PD test comparisons between micro-strip monopole antenna sensor and micro-strip patch sensor are carried out, which further indicate that the micro-strip monopole UHF antenna has good detection sensitivity.
