粤西北连南瑶族成人牙周病流行病学调查
The epidemiological and intervention of periodontal disease prevalence among adults in Yao of Liannan in Northwest of Guangdong

Abstract
Objective:To provide basis for carrying out the effective and specific prevention of periodontal disease in Yao of Liannan by investigating the periodontal disease of individuals in Yao of Liannan in Northwest of Guangdong. Method:720 Yao individuals were living in Liannan County and township whom were selected by multistage stratified ran-dom sampling. And then,the epidemiology of priodontosis investigation was made to them. Result:The periodontal disease detection rate of Yao individuals of Liannan was 91.81 %. And the detection rate of advanced periodontal disease was 50.84%. The basis shown that the detection rate of periodontal disease increased with age,which the people living in township were higher than in county (χ2=28.08,P<0.01),and male was higher than female (χ2=8.15,P<0.01). The Plaque detection rate shown that the people living in township were higher than in county (χ2=19.89,P<0.01),and male was higher than fe-male(χ2=8.17,P<0.01). The detection rate of gingival bleeding shown that the people living in township were higher than in county (χ2=11.39,P <0.01),and male was higher than female (χ2=85.77,P <0.01). Conclusion:The periodontal disease prevalence among adults in Yao of Liannan was more serious. There was significant difference between the people living in township and county,as well as male and female. Therefore,the prevention of periodontal disease should be focused on the people in township and male of Yao. The propaganda and education of oral health and smoking cessation should be constant-ly carried out. The propaganda of dental systemic treatment or tooth scaling or restoration should be strengthened,and the periodontal disease consultation rate and treatment rate in Yao of Liannan should be increased so as to decreased the peri-odontal disease prevalence rate and improve their living qualities.关键词
