摘要

Abstract

Humic substances(HS) are a series of organic matter found in soil and lakes etc. HS could be extracted from soil, animal waste, and low degrades coal and other organic wastes. HS are very important for soil physical, chemical and microbial properties as well as for plants growth. This review summarized the mechanism of HS on plants growth and also introduced the effects of HS on the plant stress resistances in detailed, including drought resistance, saline-alkali resistance, low/high temperature resistance, heavy metals resistance and disease resistance. The research and application prospects of HS in advanced sustainable agriculture were introduced in the end.
