Simulation Analysis on Spectrum Characteristics of Doubly Fed Induction Generator Rotor Inter-turn Short Circuits Based on the Transformation of the Clarke’s Vector Modulus

Abstract
Clarke transformation was a common coordinate transformation in AC motor analysis calculation. Being Clarke transformed, the equivalent relationship between three-phase alternating winding current, two-phase alternating winding current could be obtained. On this basis, proposes a fault detection method of doubly fed induction generator rotor inter-turn short circuits based on the transformation of the Clarke’s vector modulus. According to the multi-loop theory, a mathematical model of doubly fed induction generator with M-function in the MATLAB was established and rotor inter-turn short circuits fault was simulated, then the spectrum characteristics of the simulation results are analyzed. The simulation results showed that compared with the traditional stator current spectrum analysis method in the case of low slip, the method proposed in this paper could avoid the fault component submerged by the fundamental component caused by the small slip, and improve the detection accuracy effectively.关键词
