Quest and Runaway:Women’s Writings by Doris Lessing and Alice Munro
摘要
Abstract
Doris Lessing and Alice Munro are the two famous women writers in contemporary English writing,who are known for their outstanding literary achievements. Lessing’s Children of Violence is centered on female protagonist’s“ quest”,reflecting women’s pursuit of free living space;Munro’s short stories aimed to depict women’s“runaway”,showing their desire for freedom and self-identity. Though their writings differ in main plot and writing style,they both describe women’s living state and express their deep concern for women’s fate.关键词
