Abstract

Based on the domestic and foreign research on the mechanical properties of reinforced concrete(RC) after fire,this paper combined the triaxial compression strength theory of concrete with the assumption of flat sec-tion,neglected the bond-slip between the concrete of column strengthened and the high performance ferroce-ment laminate(HPFL)as well as the restraint effect of stirrup in reinforced column,and then proposed a calcula-tion model.The theoretical derivation of the normal section bearing capacity of RC column strengthened by HPFL after fire was presented,and the rationality of the theoretical formula was verified with experiment data and engi-neering examples.The analysis results show that the theoretical formula yield results that agree well with the ex-perimental data,and that strengthening the reinforced concrete column after fire by HPFL could improve its bear-ing capacity of normal section significantly,thus meeting the practical engineering requirements.
