Reversible Lane Scheme Selection Model Considering Environmental Benefit

Abstract
By considering the problem of unbalanced tidal traffic flow on the road, reversible lane schemes were given. A reversible lane scheme selection model was formulated by taking the number of reversible lanes as the decision variable and the smallest energy consumption and emission costs as the targets with the consideration of delay. Both the influence of delay on reversible lane scheme selection, and the energy consumption and emission costs were considered in the model. The setting time and hold⁃ing time of the reversible lane were discussed. Taking Zizhuyuan Road as an example, the reasonable scheme of reversible lane was calculated. Based on the simulation software VISSIM, the model was veri⁃fied and the environmental benefit of reversible lane scheme was discussed. The results show that the de⁃lay has been reduced by 21.1s, the cost of energy consumption and emission have been reduced by 40%after the implementation of reversible lane scheme considering environmental benefit. It also certifies that not only the delay is reduced but also the energy consumption and emission costs are reduced after the implementation of reversible lane scheme. Thus the environmental benefits are made.关键词
