摘要
Abstract
Tennessee Williams created many Southern belles in his plays, revealing their loneliness and disappointment in mod-ern society. Based on the theory of alienation, this paper does a research into Tennessee Williams’ s Sweet Bird of Youth by exploring Princess’ s tragic experience of self-alienation shown in the rupture of her dream and the fall of her body and tracing her journey of tran-scendence, salvation and self-realization by means of love and art.关键词
