Abstract
In the middle of the last century, Combat Information Center ( CIC) has been applied frequently in US naval shipping command and control systems. As the nerve centre of ship board C3I systems, CIC has become a kind of standard configuration in almost all naval ships. One should pay an attention to the difference between ‘information’ and ‘intelli⁃gence’ , since here ‘I’ is abbreviated from ‘information’ , not from‘intelligence’ . In this paper, we discuss the possible connotations of the CIC, which may contains various kinds of trial⁃and⁃errors, experiences and lessons in the technical evolu⁃tion and practical use of US weapon equipments. And the persistent and coherence in the progress of techniques such as CIC may give us a lot of inspirations.关键词
