Deformation control technology for an extra-large EPB shield machine crossing an operational subway tunnel in soft ground

Abstract
The control technology for a 14.27 m earth pressure balance (EPB) shield machine crossing above an operational subway tunnel is studied. A numerical simulation method is employed to analyze the range of inlfuence and the degree of shielding with different loads on the operational subway tunnel below. A control for the deformation induced by the shielding that integrates the shielding parameter control with loading in the tunnel is proposed. The Bund Tunnel project that crosses operational Subway Line 2 veriifed the feasibility of the control technology. This provides a useful reference for subsequent engineering and assists in developing control practices for land subsidence related to engineering construction projects.关键词
