摘要
Abstract
As an open,dynamic,and evolving civilization,Confucianism artistically achieves the combination of the re-spect for others and individual dignity,and balance between interpersonal relation and subjectivity.Confucianism is not ruptured with the cultural tradition before it,as the intellectual breakthrough characterized in the Axial Age,instead,it inherited and transformed the ancient civilization precipitated in Xia,Shang,and Zhou Dynasties.Confucianism aims to address the Ultimate Concern for human beings,hence the 21stCentury Confucianism must focus on the long -term hu-man survival and flourishing,which have been increasingly threatened by various political,economic,technological, cultural,and environmental problems at present.The Confucian core value "Humanity",together with the profoundly diverse discourses originated from it,such as "Learning to Be Human","What is Human",is conducive to inspiring a viable path to dealing with the human condition,"Humanity"so understood a universal value for the future of human be-ings.关键词
