摘要

Abstract

Objective To explore the application of 3D printing technology in clinical teaching of intracranial aneurysms.Methods First,three intracranial aneurysm simulation models (1 ∶1 )were generated by 3D printing (3Dp).Then 60 students of clinical medicine were randomized into two teaching module groups (3D and 3Dp).Then they had a specialized test and self-evaluation.Results The students in 3Dp group significantly outperformed those in 3D group in specialized test score (3D vs. 3Dp:4.28 ±1.10 vs.6.61 ±0.92),and were significantly faster in terms of answering the anatomical questions (3D vs.3Dp:643.44 ±177.04 vs.355.79 ±109.14).The self-evaluation results showed that the students exposed to 3Dp had more interest in learning and greater confidence in sharing the knowledge with others.Conclusion This randomized trial shows that the teaching model based on 3D printing technology can improve students'understanding of intracranial aneurysms and is well accepted by them.Therefore,this teaching model is worth popularizing in medical teaching.
