摘要
Abstract
In this paper,we review studies of the influence of heavy metals on the growth and yield of rice.The effects of heavy metals on the growth and development of rice vary depending on the specific rice stage,organ,or cultivar involved.Their effect on rice yield components is mainly reflected in changes in panicle number per unit area,spikelet number per panicle,seed setting rate,and thou-sand grain weight.Moreover,the control of heavy-metal pollution in paddy fields is also discussed in this paper.Finally,we suggest that future studies in this field should give priority to clarifying the molecular mechanism of heavy metal accumulation,developing effec-tive methods for reducing availability of heavy metals in soil,and breeding new rice varieties with a low heavy-metal accumulating a-bility.关键词
