Abstract
Several analytical methods currently applicable for the determination of chloroacetate residual in the products of alkyl ethoxylated carboxylates (AEC) surfactants were reviewed, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each method. The analytical procedure by esteriifcation of chloroacetic acid in China Industrial Standard QB/T 2950-2008 was studied in detail. The experimental results showed that replacement of water by ethanol as the solvent of standard sample would signiifcantly increase the linearity of standard curve; the precision of method could be enhanced by further improvement of the distillation process; and the mass detector used in the method might be substituted by high quality lfame ionization detector combined with splitless injection.关键词
