摘要

Abstract

For studying the aroma note of flue-cured tobacco quantitatively, the sensory evaluation data of aroma notes and intensities of 3 samples of typical medium, robust and fresh flavor style flue-cured tobacco and 893 flue-cured tobacco samples from plateaus in low latitudes were analyzed with principal component analysis, an aroma note index which could extremely significantly distinguish the 3 typical tobacco samples by their aroma note characteristics was proposed and applied to the division of tobacco growing plateaus in low latitudes by tobacco’s aroma note. The results showed that although the majority of flue-cured tobacco from low-latitude plateaus offered fresh-sweetness scent, the aroma note was significantly regionally differentiated. Flue-cured tobacco from the middle of Yunnan Province presented extremely typical fresh flavor style, featured distinct fresh-sweetness, acid, fruit and flower aroma notes. Typical medium flavor style tobacco generally originated from the south of Sichuan Province and thewest of Guizhou Province, featured stronger honeysweet, weaker fresh-sweetness, and slightly weaker acid, fruit and flower aroma notes.
