Abstract
The principle of polymer dispersed liquid crystal film as transparent proj ection screen on the application of electric field (ON state)is described and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively.The transmittance curves with incident angle of samples are tested at PDLC-ON state.It shows that the transmittance of S polarized light is not affected by the PDLC film,while the transmittance of P polar-ized light decreases obviously.The physical model of the change of P polarized light transmittance with the incident angle is established,and the expression of the transmittance of P polarized light is given.The theoretical curve fits well with the experimental curve,which explains the imaging princi-ple of the PDLC ON state as the transparent proj ection screen.关键词
