Abstract
High-rise structures such as towers and chimneys are easy to resonate under wind-induced vi-bration,leading to equipment damage.A kind of shrinkage ratio test model for the high-rise structures with vibration damping device using wire rope was designed and tested in a wind tunnel for studying the per-formance of vibration reduction.The test models with and without the tuned mass damper(TMD)device were studied.The test results show that under the condition of wind tunnel the vibration damping perform-ance of the TMD device with wire rope is very good,and the vibration amplitude reduction can reach 60%in the resonance wind speed region of the main system.In addition,finite element method is adopted to simulate the whole test process.The equivalent stiffness and equivalent damping is used to stand for the nonlinear characterization of wire rope,and the numerical simulation results are quite close to the test re-sults.As a result,the numerical method can be used in the engineering vibration analysis of high-rise equipment.关键词
