Abstract
The effects of monomer compatibility of acrylic acid (AA)/ethyl acrylate (EA) on sizing perfor⁃mance of AS- g- P(AA- EA) were investigated. Through grafting AA/EA with various molar ratios onto al yl etherified starch, a series of starch grafted copolymers with different kinds of grafted branches were prepared using Fenton′s system as initiator. Then the prepared starch grafted copolymers were employed to size polyes⁃ter cotton blended yarns, and the tensile strength, tensile elongation, abrasion resistance and hairiness of the sized yarns were tested. The experiment results showed that, when the molar ratio of AA/EA was 3/7, the sized warp yarns exhibited good sizing performance.关键词
