Abstract
Objective: To study the nicotine dependence-abstinence effect on the early osseointagration and the expression of the OPG and BMP-2 after implantation. Methods: Thirty-six SD rats were equally randomly applied for control group, Nicotine-De pendence group (ND), and Nicotine Dependence-ab-stinence group(NW) and subcutaneous injection with 0.1ml/tid saline, 3mg/kg/tid nicotine and 3mg/kg/tid nicotine respectively for 7 days, subcutaneous injected 1mg/kg mecamylamine after 1 hour at the end of injection, and observe the nicotine abstinence symptoms. Then the two tibias of the rats were implanted by the titanium implant with the surface acid-sandblasting process. NW group stop nicotine intervention, Control group and ND group continue to exert interventions. The new bone generation, the bone mineralization, the expression of BMP-2 and OPG, the bone reconstruction of the specimens were observed by X-ray, CT, RT-PCR and SEM (scanning electron microscope) at the end of 7th and 14th days after implantation. Result: Compared with control group, the new bone generation and the expres-sion of BMP-2 of ND group and NW group was no significant difference, while the bone mineralization, the expression of OPG and the bone reconstruction of ND group was reduced, and the NW group de-creased more significantly. Conclusion: Nicotine dependence will hinder the early osseointagration sur-rounding implant and the expression of BMP-2 and OPG, and the nicotine abstinence effects can not ease this effect, they both influence the early stability of the implant.关键词
