Efficacy of Atorvastatin Combined with Alendronate in the Treatment of Osteoporosis in Elderly Patients and Its Effect on OPG and Bone Metabolism Index

Abstract
Objective:To observe and evaluate the efficacy of Atorvastatin combined with Alendronate in the treatment of osteoporosis in elderly patients and its effect on OPG and bone metabolism index.Method:A total of 100 patients benign osteoporosis in our hospital from February 2012 to March 2015 were randomly selected and they were divided into the observation group(50 patients were treated with Atorvastatin on the basis of the control group) and the control group (50 patients were simply treated with Alendronate).The course of treatment was half a year.Comparative analysis of the clinical efficacy,different parts of the bone mineral density and OPG and bone metabolic markers(BAP,N-MID,OC),VAS score of two groups.Result:The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.00%,which was significantly higher than that of control group(78.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Two groups of patients with different parts of bone density were significantly higher than before treatment,and the observation group after treatment of different parts of the bone density were significantly higher than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01).Two groups of patients after treatment of OPG levels were significantly higher than before treatment, and the observation group after treatment OPG levels were significantly higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the patients in two groups of BAP and N-MID, OC levels were significantly higher than those of patients in the control group and BAP,N-MID levels of the observation group after the treatment were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05),OC levels of the observation group after the treatment was significantly higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistical significance(P<0.01).After treatment,VAS score of two groups was significantly lower than before treatment,and the VAS score of the observation group after treatment was significantly lower than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01).Conclusion:Atorvastatin combined with Alendronate in the treatment of osteoporosis in elderly patients with significant effect,can effectively improve the OPG level of patients and bone metabolism,increase bone density,relieve the pain of patients.关键词
