Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To explore the clinical characteristics and preventive effects of rotavirus vaccine in patients with rotavirus enteritis .METHODS:490 healthy infants admitted into Shenzhen Pingshan New District People ’s Hospital from Apr.2011 to Mar.2014 were selected to be divided into observation group and control group via the random number table.The observation group received rotavirus vaccine , while the control group did not receive rotavirus vaccine . Tracking survey was conducted on two groups in the following year .The incidence of enteritis in infants , length of hospital stay and cost , defecate frequency , incidence of complications and adverse drug reactions were recorded and analyzed .RESULTS:Of the 288 infants in observation group , there were 4 cases of rotavirus enteritis (1.39%);of the 202 infants in control group , there were 20 cases(9.90%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The length of hospital stay and cost , defecate frequency and incidence of complications in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group , with statistical significance ( P<0.05 ) .The incidence of adverse drug reactions of observation group was 25.00%(1/4), and control group was 75.00%(15/20), with statistical significance (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Oral rotavirus vaccine can significantly decrease the incidence of rotavirus enteritis , complications and adverse drug reactions , improve the immunity of rotavirus enteritis , shorten the length of hospital stay and avoid unnecessary economic and psychological burden .It is worthy of application and promotion .关键词
