Abstract
Objective:To investigate the importance of sand blasting polishing after ultrasonic scaling to derive more suitable polishing methods for clinical application by comparing the impact on short-term further consultation scaling between routine polishing and sandblasting polishing.Method:400 patients needing teeth cleaning were randomly divided into two groups.Group A was scaled with rubber cup after ultrasonic scaling,group B with sandblasting polishing. Patients returned and were assessed whether to scale again in 0.5 years and 1.5 years after ultrasonic scaling.The proportion of patients needing cleaning again in corresponding period was counted and the significance between group A and B was verified using the chi-square test.Result:More-time scaling rate of group A was significantly higher than one of Group B in 0.5 and 1.5 years after ultrasonic scaling(P<0.05).Conclusion:Sand blasting polishing after ultrasonic scaling can effectively reduce the return-visit times of patients in a short term. Its clinical operations are simple and effective.关键词
