Abstract
The (Guangxu) Lujiang Xianzhi is relatively detailed in content and rigorous in compiling style in the existing local chronicles of Lujiang County. It was based on the unfinished (Tongzhi) Lujiang Xianzhi and compiled in reference with verified and screened materials. The book has high compilation quality and special value for document gathering and collation. It pro-vides important documents for studying the landscape, places of interest, organizational system, civil officials, taxes, products, customs, people, art and literature of Lujiang in Guangxu period. Moreover, it provides valuable clues for further study on the social and historical development of Lujiang County and management of Lujiang chronicles. Meanwhile, this book provides a general methodology on textual research for history researchers.关键词
