Abstract
As an important venue for human activities, ocean has a unique position in history. Traditional view claims that Chi-nese Civilization is an agricultural civilization. Actually ocean civilization plays a major role in Chinese Civilization, which could be proven in ocean books. The book-Historical Chinese and Foreign Commission, records lots of ocean books, including plentiful ocean messages, such as the reorganization of sea, the vicissitude of trading mechanism on the sea, the appearance of compass and the needle passage and so on. Therefore the progress of China ocean civilization can be reflected from the ocean books.关键词
