Thermophysical properties of HFE7100 and HFE7500

Abstract
Due to their favorable thermophysical and environmental properties HFE7100 and HFE7500 are extensively applied as heat transfer fluids in semiconductor industry and cleaning solvents in electronic components. Thermal conductivity of HFE7100 and HFE7500 under atmospheric pressure was measured by a transient hot-wire technique, as well as their liquid viscosity and surface tension by the surface light scattering (SLS) method. Thermal conductivity and liquid viscosity were correlated with temperature as polynomial functions. The average absolute deviations between correlations and experimental data of thermal conductivity and liquid viscosity are 0.37% and 1.19% for HFE7100, and 0.08% and 1.10% for HFE7500, respectively. A modified correlation based on van der Waals was used for that of surface tension as a function of temperature, by which the average absolute deviations of surface tension are 0.03 and 0.02 mN·m?1 for HFE7100 and HFE7500, respectively. In this study, the experimental and correlation data of conductivity, viscosity and surface tension can be supportive for engineering application.关键词
