Abstract
ObjectiveTo discuss the relationship between peripheral neuropathy and 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 [25-(OH)D3] in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Method117 cases of type 2 diabetes patients with peripheral neuropathy (experimental group) and 150 cases of type 2 diabetes patients (control group) were selected as the objects of study from March 2014 to September 2015 in our hospital. The body height, weight, blood glucose, blood lipid, serum parathyroid hormone, 25-(OH)D3 levels were detected and compared between the two groups; Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the related factors of type 2 diabetes with peripheral neuropathy.ResultThe level of 25-(OH)D3 of experimental group patients was significantly lower than control group (P<0.05); correlation analysis showed that serum 25-(OH)D3 level was positively correlated with sural nerve sensory conduction velocity, and negatively correlated with HbA1c. Logistic regression analysis showed that peripheral neuropathy was negatively correlated with age, duration of diabetes, HbA1c, and positively correlated with 25-(OH)D3 (P<0.05).ConclusionThe serum 25-(OH)D3 level of type 2 diabetes patients with peripheral neuropathy patients is significantly lower than diabetic, serum 25-(OH)D3 is closely related to the occurrence of peripheral neuropathy.关键词
