Effects of Rhizoma Belamcandae Extracts on the Expression of IL-4 and IgE in Rabbits with Experimentally Induced Chronic Pharyngitis
摘要
Abstract
Objective To study the expression of interleukin-4 and IgE in the pharyngitis rabbit model with the Rhizoma Belamcandae extracts to explore its treatment mechanism. Methods White rabbits were used in this study to prepare the model of chronic pharyngi-tis, induced by directly applied into the pharyngeal mucosa with ammonia water and turpentine oil at first. Then, these modeling animals were divided into several groups, with the Rhizoma Belamcandae extracts taken to treat this kind of lesion. The changes in the expres-sion of IL-4 and IgE of these animal models were determined to evaluate the pharmacological effects of this solution on the le-sion. Results It was shown that the level of IL-4 and IgE were reduced among the animals in treating group ( P < 0. 05 ) . Conclusion The therapeutic mechanisms of Rhizoma Belamcandae extracts or the treatment of chronic pharyngitis may be achieved by regulating the expression of cytokines.关键词
