Effect of polyphenol from Fructus Canarii on proliferation and apoptosis of Hela cells

Abstract
Objective: To study the effect of polyphenol from Fructus Canarii on proliferation and apoptosis of Hela cells in vitro. Methods: Polyphenol from Fructus Canarii was extracted by ultrasonic ethanol method and was tested by spectrophotometry with Folin-Ciocalteu reagent and standard of Gallic acid. The effect on proliferation and apoptosis in Hela cells was tested by MTT assay, immunocytochemical methods, and flow cytometry. Results: Polyphenol from Fructus Canarii could obviously inhibit the proliferation of Hela cells in a time-and dose-dependent manner. Polyphenol could induce apoptosis by stimulating caspase-3. Conclusion:Polyphenol from Fructus Canarii could inhibit proliferation and induce apoptosis of Hela cells in vitro.关键词
