Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effects of epidermal growth factor (EGF) and basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)on the proliferation of human dental pulp stem cells(hDPSCs) in vitro. Methods: Colorimetric assay was used to measure the dose - and time - depedent effects of EGF and bFGF on the proliferation of hDPSCs. Results:50 ng/ml EGF and 20 ng/ml bFGF had the strongeste effect on promoting the proliferation of hDPSCs re-spectively. The effect of 50 ng/ml EGF and 20 ng/ml bFGF, whether alone or combined was time-depedent. It was significantly stronger at 3, 5, 7 d (P < 0.05), and the combined usege of the two cytokines was obviously stronger than used alone(P<0.05).Conclusion: The optimal concentration of EGF and bFGF is 50 ng/ml and 20 ng/ml respectively. Both EGF and bFGF can significantly promote the proliferation of hDPSCs. The combination use of two growth factors has a certain synergism.关键词
