Abstract
Objective To explore the social-emotional development of children with cochlear implants and its influential factors. Methods Questionnaires were used to investigate the social-emotional development, temperament, parenting styles and auditory and speech abilities of 46 children with cochlear implants. Results The incidences of externalizing behavior problems, internalizing behavior problems, deregulation problems and social-emotional incompetence of children with cochlear implants were 8.70%, 2.17%, 4.35% and 8.70%, respectively. The temperament, parenting styles, auditory abilities and speech abilities were correlated with social-emotional development. Multiple regression showed that speech abilities could predict externalizing behaviors(F=9.470,P<0.05), withdrawal could predict internalizing behaviors(F=26.285,P<0.001), speech abilities and adaptability could predict deregulation behaviors (F=6.883,P<0.05;F=6.088,P<0.01)and persistence could predict social-emotional competence(F=14.892,P<0.01). Conclusion The temperament, parenting styles, auditory abilities and speech abilities are related with the social-emotional development of children with cochlear implants.关键词
