Abstract
Objective To compare the clinical effect and side-effects of valsartan and benazepril in the treatment of mild and moderate primary hypertension. Methods 98 patients with mild and moderate primary hypertension were randomly divided into two groups. 50 cases of valsartan group were treated with oral valsartan in 80-160mg/day, while 48 cases of benazepril group were treated with oral benazepril in 10-20mg/day, a course of treatment was six weeks. The change of blood pressure, heart rate, electrocardiogram, biochemical indicators before and after using drug were observed. Results The effective rate of valsartan group was 74.3%, the effective rate of benazepril group was 76.5%, and two groups had significant antihypertensive effect, the difference was not significant(P>0.05),and the electrocardiogram, heart rate and biochemical of two groups before and after the treatment had no obvious change. In adverse reactions, valsartan group had no dry cough, the incidence of dry cough of benazepril group was 10.4%. Conclusion Valsartan and benazepril in the treatment of mild and moderate primary hypertension had similar curative effect,and are safe, effective, less side effects long-acting antihypertensives, but the tolerance of valsartan is better.关键词
