Abstract
The uncertainty of the center frequency and band width of the band-pass filter in the traditional signal envelope, and the mode aliasing problem of the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) in processing of the nonlinear and non-stationary signal were studied. A new method for earlier fault diagnosis of roller bearings was put forward. In this method, the signal correlation was used as a criterion to get the optimal IMF component of the ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD). Then, the Hilbert envelop demodulation was applied to the IMF component to derive the characteristic frequency of the fault. The experimental results show that the fault patterns of the roller bearing in the earlier stage can be identified accurately and effectively by this method. Therefore, this method can be applied to machinery-equipment fault-processing system.关键词
