Abstract
Objective] To promote the high-quality new variety Dioscorea esculenta (Lour.) Burkill, and to screen suitable variety for Kaihua County and the high-yield culture technique of D.esculenta.[Method] Eight new varieties of D.esculenta were selected.Comparative test was carried out with the control variety Zheshu 13.New varieties were selected with high quality and high yield [Result] The introduced three new varieties had higher yields compared with control variety Zheshu 13.Yields of Zheshu 70, Zheshu 132 and Zheshu 75 enhanced by 42.3%, 14.4% and 3.7%, respectively, compared with the control.[Conclusion] Zheshu 70, Zheshu 132 and Zheshu 75 have relatively high yield lev-el and good adaptability.Therefore, they are of promotional value.As a starch type variety, Zheshu 13 has stable yield level and good adaptabili-ty, so it is worth popularizing in the areas producing potato sheet jelly and potato noodle.Zhezishu 1, Xinxiang and other varieties are character-istic potatoes, which has high economic benefit in order planting.As characteristic leafy vegetable, Zhecaishu 726 is suitable to be planted in ar-eas in between urban and rural regions and has good economic benefit.关键词
