Effects of Chinese Herb Feed Additives on Growth and Blood Biochemical Indexes in Holstein Bulls
摘要
Abstract
This paper aimed to study the effects of different amount of traditional Chinese medicine feed ad-ditive on growth and blood biochemical indexes in Holstein bulls.The results showed that the addition of traditional Chinese medicine feed additives can significantly increase the weight gain of Holstein bulls. Compared to control group,with addition of 1% and 2% of traditional Chinese medicine feed additives,the average daily weight gain increased by 39.91% and 52.13%,feed conversion ratio increased by 28.61%and 34.28%,and the average daily gain increased by 51.58% and 60.35%.The serum glucose (GLU)and urea nitrogen (BUN)increased with the increase of the quantity of the traditional Chinese medicine feed additives.The traditional Chinese medicine feed additives can reduce the content of bovine serum cholester-ol (CT)and decrease serum enzyme activities such as alanine aminotransferase (ALT),aspartate amin-otransferase (AST),alkaline phosphatase (ALP),lactate dehydrogenase (LDH).关键词
