摘要

Abstract

Telomere proteins are integral components of the telomere complex that bind directly or indirectly with telomere DNA.The telomeric proteins that provide a new research area on parasites,have been paid a great attention recently.They play important roles in both chromosome stability and the regulation of life cycle in parasites.Furthermore,the researches on telomeric proteins opens exciting avenues on the prevention and treatment of parasitic diseases.This article reviewed telomeric proteins of protozoa and re-lated functions,including TRFs,Rap1,TERT,RPA,Sir2,Orc1,Gbp,Ku,Rbp38,and LaTBP1,to develop novel targets for anti-parasite agents.
