Regional Disparities and the Evolution of the Dependence on Resource-based Industries in China---On Dagum Gini Coefficient Decomposition

Abstract
Using China's provincial panel data from 2003 to 2014 , this article examines regional disparities and distributional dy-namics of the dependence on resource-based industries in China with Dagum's Gini coefficient and Kernel density estimation method . It reaches the following results . The dependence on resource -based industries in China is characterized by significant regional disparities . According to the overall Gini coefficient , regional disparities exhibits certain fluctuation . The intensity of trans -variation is the major source of overall inequality . The disparity among regions is on the rise , while the disparity in regions is relatively stable . Kernel density estimation indicates that the dependence on resource -based industries in China rises first and decreases afterwards .关键词
