Abstract
Doctor Jiang especially value the kidney qi in the human body.According to him insufficient primordial qi of the kidney may lead to various visceral diseases.For example,deficient coldness of the kidney will result in failure of fire to generate earth and deficiency of spleen yang,and thus diarrhea,distention and fullness appears.Lung dominates qi and kidney receives qi,and if qi fails to reach the origin due to kidney qi deficiency,asthma and cough may occur.Furthermore,there is mother-child relationship between the lung and the kidney and the offspring disease will involve the maternal organ,thus lung disease occurs.If the disease starts from the liver,it usually transmits to the spleen,lung and kidney.By searching the primary cause in treating disease,liver disease is commonly treated from the kidney.During the application of Jingui Shenqi Pills,Guizhi (Ramulus Cinnamomi) and Fuzi (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Praeparata) with pungent taste and heat nature are removed for the patients with regular yin deficiency;prepared Shudi (Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata) is replaced by raw Shengdi (Radix Rehmanniae) of sweet taste and cold nature.For patients with spleen deficiency,Six Gentlemen Decoction for Spleen-Strengthening and Qi-Benefiting is combined.For patients with yang deficiency,Center-Regulating Pills are added.For patients with heart yin deficiency,Pulse-Engendering Drink is added to nourish qi and yang or Celestial Emperor Heart-Supplementing Elixir is combined to nourish blood and tranquilize mind.For patients with yang collapse tendency,Fulling (Poria),Zexie (Rhizoma Alismatis) and Danpi (Cortex Moutan) with effect of induce diarrhea are removed,and Roucongrong (Herba Cistanches),Lurong (Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum) and Gouqi (Fructus Lycii) are added to purely rescue yang.Doctor Jiang varied the herbs in clinical practice based on syndrome differentiation and accurate diagnosis,which shows his deep insight of this formula with flexible modification.关键词
